Infrastructure
North Central Kentucky benefits from multiple artery freeways (including I-75 and I-71), all within its boundaries. This creates enormous opportunity for infrastructure development along these freeway systems.
Gas stations, quick-stop restaurants, service centers and other tourism-based businesses could thrive along these interstate freeway interchanges. Land is priced competitively low and capital is available through a variety of sources.
In addition, river transport on the Ohio River, Kentucky River and other waterways provides a perfect base for shipping and distributing sectors. The available hydroelectric power is still largely unharnessed and is ripe for developing as a source of renewable energy.
Regionally and nationally, North Central Kentucky provides an opportunity to create major infrastructure for homeland security and large technology installations. The location is within a day's drive of over half the U.S. population and is far enough inland to make strategic sense for certain security-based operations.
All infrastructure developments would service the three local metropolitan areas, as well as the surrounding regions and the nation as a whole.
