Our world's current energy needs leave no room for debate: "Green Energy" is the future.  Opportunities to get in on this exciting and lucrative wave abound in the North Central KY region. 

 

Under-developed energy resources in the state of Kentucky and around the Ohio Valley region provide a prime opportunity for starting wind and solar farms, hydroelectric facilities and other energy-related businesses.

Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear has aggressive plans to develop sustainable energy solutions, including increasing production of biofuels, wind, solar and hydropower, ultimately achieving energy independence from foreign oil.  This cutting-edge initiative has already released over $10 million dollars into the state's economy and is expected to create 30-40,000 new jobs for Kentuckians.  Funding for new energy ideas is available from Kentucky Science and Technology Corporation (learn more).

Along with our maverick approach to energy independence, Kentucky is intent on protecting our valuable resources - the environment.  Our statewide goal of a 20% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by the year 2025 is reinforced by government policy.  In fact, Kentucky was the first state to combine departments dealing with energy and the environment.
